Consumers also expect price, whether or not an item is in-stock – and if so, where. If a consumer places an online order, they should be able to come visit you and inquire about their order. As a retailer, you should be able to interact with orders placed online in your retail software – real time. Just imagine a customer places an order online – and then they come in to your store. “I just placed an order online for an in-stock product, would love to see it!”. Wouldn’t it be great to grab your iPad, pull up their order?! Better yet, now add the matching chair they are sitting on next to the sofa they bought online and came in to see!
